233 Days

As I watched Obama's address to Congress tonight, reference was made to this being his 233rd day in office. So, that makes Taylor 233 days old. I sound like a broken record, but she is growing so quickly and has such a fun personality. We had a great visit with my parents, who were out here for 10 days. I savor the time we spend together, and I know they adore their granddaughter. After they left on Sunday, I could tell that Taylor noticed their absence. She was fussy most of the day and appeared sad that she didn't have four people doting on her at all times. I've included pictures of their visit below.

Silly girl!

The first weekend of my parents' visit, we drove up north to Tommy's parents' beach house. I've posted pictures of the sunsets from their deck on the blog before, but they never get old!

Grandpa Mike enjoyed taking Taylor on walks along the beach. I looked out Saturday afternoon and saw the scene below. Precious. If you can't tell, Taylor is up on Grandpa's shoulders.

Tommy = Grill Master

Tommy, me, and our dads enjoyed a late afternoon game of corn-hole. My dad is using the bean-bag as a basketball; no wonder we lost to Tommy and his dad.

Ahhh... another awesome sunset

Our little stinker.

My mom and I went shopping one afternoon and left Taylor alone with Grandpa (I was only slightly nervous abou this). When we got home, I found Taylor's hair slicked back as shown below. Thanks G-pa. (Note T's new phone in the photo!)

I finally bit the bullet and bought Taylor a high chair.

One afternoon, we went to Snoqualmie Falls. I've been here several times already but have never gotten a good picture. Gorgeous!

One last pictures of our sweet girl.
As usual, I wish I had taken more pictures of my parents with Taylor. Next time...
Taylor is changing daily. I see new things all the time and need to start carrying a notepad with me. In the past few weeks, she has cut her first two teeth, started "talking" (does "ba ba ba ba" count as her first word?), has grown a lot of hair on the back of her head (she no longer has the "Terry Bradshaw" look), loves to play with her new cell phone and remote control (courtesy of Mimi), eats like a champ, and sleeps on her stomach with her knees pulled up underneath her. We are counting the days until she crawls. Time to start baby-proofing our house because something tells me Taylor will be VERY interested in exploring everything.
