A few pictures:
Daddy reading to Taylor on her changing pad. This is becoming a regular activity at bedtime in order to distract Taylor while I change her.
AT&T before the Super Bowl.

Tay just fed herself some yogurt. Very little of it made it into her mouth.

Story time - all by self!

Story time with Daddy
Note that Daddy is reading her a book titled "Me Gusta Cuando..." It's never too early to introduce a little Spanish. :)

The picture below is for my Dad. Shortly after his visit, I was burning some DVDs and played a video of him. When Taylor saw him on the TV, she crawled over and started trying to reach for Grandpa. So sweet.

More tidbits on Taylor:
- At 13 months, Taylor is still not walking. In fact, she is just staring to show signs of it. She loves crawling now and looks so darn cute as she motors down the hallway. She has been climbing stairs since early February and regularly pulls herself to standing now. Just in the past week, she's started to stand in her crib. It just melts my heart to walk into her room and see her standing in her crib, waiting for mommy (or daddy) to get her.
- Some of T's favorites include holding her medicine bottles/tubes, eating out of her snack trap, drinking milk through a straw, looking out the window, pointing to ceiling fans and lights, and seeing anything Elmo-related.
- Taylor got another molar (her top right one) about a week ago. The other two molars should be popping through any day now. Thankfully, she is taking a liking to letting Tommy or me brush her teeth. We had been battling that out with her for months, but thanks to Tommy's demonstration with his own toothbrush, she'll let us brush (or rub) her teeth (gums) now.
- T is learning more and more words. It is so cool to ask her things now and see her respond accordingly. Tonight, Tommy asked Taylor where her drum was, and she crawled over to the toy shelf and got it. These details are probably boring most of you, but as a first-time parent, I think it's pretty cool. I love watching her mind/brain develop.
- Even though she understands a lot of words, that doesn't mean Tay is saying them. Aside from mama and dada, she doesn't say much more (at least in English) on a regular basis. She is starting to use a bit of sign language, though. Her favorite sign is "more." I have used this sign while feeding her in hopes that she can tell me when she wants more food, but she is using the sign for everything now... more food, more mommy, more books, more Elmo, more play, etc. Be careful what you wish for, right?
- She loves to pick food off of her tray and feed it to us. It is so cute. I will cut up a sandwich for her at lunch and she will insist on feeding some of it to me. Recently, she's started playing a game with me in which she'll offer me food, but then when I go to eat it, she'll pop it into her mouth. Stinker! Speaking of food, T's pediatrician said it is okay to try previously restricted foods now. I've tried peanut butter already, and while she has shown no allergy to it, she doesn't really care for it. Chicken, peas, carrots, green beans, applesauce, clementines, strawberries, and fish crackers are her current favorites.
