I apologize for the moratorium from the blog. We have had visitors in town since August 27th. My parents were in town for a few weeks, Tommy's brother flew up from Berkeley for Labor Day weekend, and Tommy's grandmother, aunt, and uncle have been in town for the last 10 days from New York. We enjoyed all our visitors! Taylor too! She is facing reality now and is missing all the love and attention.
I will update the blog with pictures of Mimi, Baba, Brian, and Gigi (great grandma) soon.
In the meantime, Taylor and I took a nice, long walk this afternoon. When we got home from work/school, we took our daily walk down the cul de sac to the mailbox. Today, Taylor decided that she had other places to go, so we proceeded to walk around the neighborhood for the next 45 minutes. It was a beautiful, autumn afternoon. Of course, I had other things that I wanted to do, but as I watched my little munchkin trot down the sidewalk, I was glad for the change of plans. It is so fun to see things through the eyes of a 20-month old. We looked at "big trees," "rocks," "woof woofs," and "airplanes in the sky." Her curiousity never faded even after 45 minutes of looking at gravel and mulch. Taylor loved to wave at neighbors and say "bye bye." She loved for me to run ahead of her, stick my head between my legs, and watch her run up behind me and run under my legs. She giggled and giggled as we did this. I'm sure the neighbors enjoyed watching me act like an idiot.
So, that was my afternoon. Nothing too crazy, but one that I want to remember for a long time (hence the blog post). We capped off the day with dinner, a bath, and another trip outside to see the full moon. Goodnight Moon.
