Five-Months Old

My Matty is five-months old! He is still as sweet as can be with a smile that melts my heart.  His hair is growing in somewhat, and I think it's safe to say he is going to be a blondie.  While he loves to gnaw on his hand, my hair, my shirt, or whatever else is near his mouth, he does not have any teeth yet.  I expect to see a bottom tooth or two sometime in the next month.  Matthew is rolling all over the place now.  Just two nights ago, he flipped onto his belly at bedtime and stayed there all night.  I guess we have a belly-sleeper!  It is very clear that Matty is ready for food.  He stares at Tommy, Taylor, and I as we eat dinner each night, and he tries to grab food out of my hand regularly.  I see some rice cereal in his near future.

Matty loves his big sister.  I need to try and capture the giggle he belts out when she plays with him.  It is precious.  I am trying to savour these happy times with my cute kiddos but they are just going by too quickly!

Best friends in the making...

First night in the bumbo seat.

Big sis loves to give a bottle to Matty.

Go Yankees!  As you can imagine, Matty's wardrobe is about 50% Yankees' gear.  Daddy loves it.  Mommy deals with it.

I love this picture of Matty because of his spikey hair and pointy ears.

Matty took a liking to the exersaucer last weekend.  Out with the baby swing and in with the exersaucer!

More time in the bumbo seat.  Determined to figure that toy out!

Taylor is showing Matty her new laptop.  He's interested in anything his big sister uses, and I'm sure this will continue for years to come.

This picture cracks me up.  Matty loves watching the TV even though we go to great efforts to keep him away from it.  He would do a backbend if he had to in order to catch a glimpse of the tube.  The other day, I put Matty down on his back facing away from the TV, and within 10 seconds he was flipped over as shown above.  Stinker!

Matty has daddy's full lips.  As of now, his eyes are still blue.
