Look who is growing up on me!
Our sweet B is 18 months old now. Where has time gone? How has this been the longest 18 months and fastest 18 months of my life at the same time? It is hard to think that I am almost done counting Brayden's age in months. He will be two years old before we know it.
Our toddler keeps us very busy. Brayden, I predict, is the child that will keep Tommy and me up at night. He has no fear, no concerns. He will be by my side one second and down the street the next. He wants so badly to be big like his sister and brother, and he does a darn good job keeping up with them. He has already learned how to defend himself - he knows how to pull Taylor's hair and pinch Matty's arm, so watch out if a sibling takes a toy from him. Oh Lord, I know I am in trouble when he is bigger and stronger.
Brayden's only word is "cheers." That's right, the only word my third child can speak is "cheers." No "momma," "dadda," "bye bye." Just "Cheers!" It is so cute to see him say this with his sippy cup in the air. Otherwise, he does a lot of yelling "ahhhhh!" when he needs my attention. I had assumed that it was somewhat normal for third children to be late talkers since they have older siblings to do the talking for them. However, Brayden's pediatrician recommends that we have Brayden's hearing tested and send him to a speech therapist. Given that my dad has significant hearing loss, Tommy and I are a bit anxious to learn if there is a hearing problem. Ironically, Brayden said the words "uh oh," "ok" and "hi"within one day of his 18-month check up. So, our little guy is likely just fine but being a bit stubborn in the communication department.
Brady is a great eater and a great sleeper. He loves his pacifier and lovey. He is obsessed with his cozy coupe car and plays in it at every possible opportunity.
He also loves playing with Matty's cars and can entertain himself for quite some time - I love hearing him make car sounds (vroom vroom) as he drives these little cars around on the table. It reminds me of Matty at the same age.
At his check up on Wednesday, Brayden weighed 23 pounds (15th percentile) and is 32.5 inches tall (57th percentile). He still reminds me of Taylor as a toddler due to his slim figure but he is starting to resemble Matty more and more.
I love this little man and treasure all the snuggles I can get from this wiggly, active, crazy guy!
