Big Week

It's a big week in the Bligh family. First, our little girl starts kindergarten. We have been counting down the days (as shown below) for weeks. Today is "meet the teacher" day, tonight is parent curriculum night, tomorrow is kindergarten assessment, and then, finally, Thursday is Taylor's first day of school. She is so excited. I think I am more excited to meet her teacher today, which also means we will see her classroom, take in all of her school supplies, and hopefully meet some nice children (and parents).
Shopping at Target for school supplies. I think Taylor was more excited about the slushie.

The countdown chain. We were low on colored construction paper, so Taylor used markers to color printer paper all of the rainbow colors. That is dedication!

This chain, which was initially strung around her pictures to keep Brayden from ripping it, is now down to just two links. Sniff sniff

Second, Tommy's brother Brian is getting married this weekend. The wedding is in Sonoma, California, and ALL FIVE of us are in the wedding. Tommy will miss Taylor's first day of school because he has best man duties to attend to in California. The boys and I will stay back for T's first day. We will greet her when she gets off the school bus at lunch time on Thursday and head to the airport to catch our 3:45 flight. This will be my first time flying solo with all three kiddos. I am anxious about it, but hopefully the anticipation is worse than the reality. It is going to be a whirlwind, but we are all excited for the festivities of the weekend.

Third, my parents will meet us at Uncle Brian's wedding. We have not seen them since April, so everyone is excited for time with Mimi and Baba. They will be a huge help to me (as well as Aunt Emily!) and then they are flying back to Seattle with us on Sunday. Monday, Matty starts preschool, and we will get back to some semblance of a routine.

Here's to a great week!
