Taylor's 5th Nutcracker season has come to an end. This year, she danced as a Rose Bud in the Flower Scene. I mentioned in a blog post back in September that she was devastated upon learning she was cast in this role. Well, things always happen for a reason, right? She and the other Rose Bud, Hailey, became fast friends. Hailey is a 7th grader and lives close to us, so we were able to carpool to and from rehearsals a bit. Additionally, Taylor and Hailey stood out from all of the girls dancing as Flowers. Their costumes were darling, and they were in the front for most of the choreography. It worked out perfectly. I have so enjoyed watching Taylor, especially when I see how far she has come from her first Nutcracker performance four years ago. She is a far better dance than I was in 5th grade!
