Minecraft Creation

As you would expect, Brayden has been playing a lot of video games this summer. He cannot get his central line wet, so I have been very relaxed about gaming.

Yesterday, he pulled me in to the playroom to show me the hospital he built in Minecraft. It broke my heart as he showed me the cancer unit, the blood disorder unit, the surgery center, the recovery rooms, the plasma-pheresis room, the chemo (he spelled it "kimo") rooms, the inpatient rooms, the rooftop garden, and even the IV lines he created. He even "painted" the walls in the cancer center green because "that's how the Forest building at Children's looks and that's where the cancer patients go." This child of mine has observed and learned so so so much this summer... and all about things no child should ever have to learn at age 9.

Outside of the hospital with the parking lot.

This is the CT scan - Brayden's memory/attention to detail of these procedures is amazing.
