Driver's License

It's official - my daughter received her driver's license this morning. How surreal! Tommy and I both when with her to the DMV, but the appointment was pretty anti-climatic. Taylor had already passed her written test and driving test, so she just had to turn in her permit, pay the fee, and have her picture taken. 

She drove us home from the DMV, dropped us off, and then took off for school. What a strange experience it was to watch her drive out of the cul de sac for the first time by herself! Taylor called me when she got home from school (I was out running errands), and she said LOVED driving by herself. By the time I got home from my errands, she had left again to stop by her boyfriend's house before dance. Oh, to be 16 again!

I smile when I think about her living her best life! She looks so cute her Subaru Crosstrek.

Tommy and I purchased this car in November. We are calling it our "3rd family car," but it was obviously purchased for Taylor to drive. Our hope is that the boys will drive it one day too.
