Moving Day

Tommy and I are moving into our new townhome today! I am meeting the movers in just a couple of hours, so I thought I'd post a quick note on the blog. We leave tomorrow afternoon for Alison and Jon's wedding in Santa Barbara, and then I'll be in Orange County, CA all next week for work. Needless to say, I need to bust a move today to get as settled as possible.

Confused? Tommy and I walked away from the home we were going to buy. I'll save you the details, but in the end there were several issues that came up in the inspection that the seller refused to repair. I'm not talking about an outlet that doesn't work, I'm talking major structural issues with the three-car garage, crawl space, etc. So, we will become renters for at least our first year here. Tommy found us a brand new townhome in Issaquah, which is 15 miles east of downtown Seattle on I-90. The place seems perfect so far (except for all the stairs!). It is walking distance from all of my favorite things - yoga, Pilates, restaurants, even a wine bar. We will have plenty of room for visitors, so please visit!

On another, more important note, we had a doctor's appointment on Monday. Everything looks great with Gordi. For those of you who haven't heard the story, my 7-year old nephew wants us to name our baby Gordon. We thought that was such a funny suggestion. Where did he ever come up with the name Gordon? Since then, it's been easier to call the baby "Gordi" than "Baby Bligh." Anyways, Gordi is doing well. I am starting to feel a little snug in my regular pants, so I may need to do a little shopping next week. I was hoping to hold off on maternity clothes as long as possible. I think it's time...
