TGIF!

I am a terrible blogger! It's been two weeks since my last post, but this is the first opportunity I've had to write. Let's see, since we moved into our townhome, I've been to Santa Barbara for a wedding, Orange County for work, and I just returned at 11:00 last night from Chicago. Oh yes, and I got the flu for a couple of days in between trips. Tommy and I leave this afternoon for his work retreat. It is really the last thing I want to do this weekend. Schmoozing with his colleagues does not sound like fun when what I really want is to have a home-cooked meal and watch a movie. If only I could have a glass of wine (or five) to make the conversation flow! :) At least this trip is a four-hour drive and does not require an airplane.

My best friend Emily is now two days past her due date. I am secretly (okay, I guess not-so-secretly) hoping that she has her little girl today. It would be so fun to have an 8/8/08 birthdate.

I will post pictures of our new place in my next post. We are still working our way through boxes. Maybe once I'm here for more than two consecutive days, I'll make some real progress!
