Babymoon

Oahu, Hawaii

Tommy and I had a wonderful time in Hawaii. We made the most of our babymoon by eating, walking, reading, and sleeping as much as possible. You know you're getting old when you are home from dinner by 8:30 and are in bed by 9:00 almost every night! Highlights of the week include driving around the island, watching a luau, going on a sunset cruise, and visiting Pearl Harbor. Our resort (JK Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa at Ko Olina) was beautiful and I would highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Oahu. We stayed about 20 miles from Waikiki, so the area was remote and peaceful.

Tommy and I were disappointed with the sunsets during our trip. Now that I'm looking through our pictures, though, we saw some awesome sunsets! We never actually saw the sun go below the horizon due to the clouds, but I suppose that is what makes these pictures so amazing.

Trying Matsumoto's famous shaved ice. It is really a snow cone with finely shaved ice, covered in flavored syrup. We got these at about 9:30 in the morning and felt sick afterward!

Tommy and I at the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor. I feel guilty for smiling on such a somber site. Re-living the events of 12/7/41 was both devastating and humbling.

This is our hotel from the catamaran. Below is Tommy on the deck of the catamaran eating wings and drinking Corona. He's living the dream!

Here is a profile shot - I am 28 weeks now!

Time to return to reality...
