Weeks Two and Three

Our Little Bundle of Joy!

Whoa, I am behind on posts! Little Tay is now three weeks old. It is hard to believe. She's taking a nap right now, so I'll try to get some pictures posted.

Taylor has been such a joy to Tommy and me. We stare at her in amazement all the time. We are constantly saying to one another, "Come over here and look at this..." If you were a fly on the wall, I'm sure you would laugh at us. We are definitely "those" first-time parents!

At Taylor's two-week doctor appointment last week, she weighed 8 lbs, 1 oz and measured 20.25 inches. According to our pediatrician, she is in the 50th percentile for weight and height. I had no idea if she had been eating enough, so I was very relieved after that appointment.

Taylor and I are starting to get out a bit. Last week, Tommy worked from home one afternoon, and the three of us took a walk outside because it was beautiful! We've also gotten together with various friends for brunch and we've been shopping a few times. I am starting to feel like a human again, although I am still missing my sleep. Tommy's parents have been in New York for the past week for Brian's graduation from culinary school, and they return tonight. Uncle Brian is also flying back with them to meet Taylor before he moves to Rome for work, and Tommy's grandma is also coming with them. I'm sure we'll have lots of family photos to post next week!
Chillin' with Mimi before she left.
I just love her yawns!
Grandma and Grandpa doting on her during the Superbowl.
Taylor LOVES lying in her daddy's lap.
SO tired!
Out for a walk - look how tiny she is against Tommy's chest!
Beth and Luc - our former next door neighbors in Chicago - were in town last weekend. They are expecting a little girl of their own in early May. Beth is from Seattle, so Tommy and I are trying to persuade them to move here! Beth and Luc, we miss you guys!
Tommy and Taylor posed with Aurelie and Julien. We met Aurelie and her husband Jake in our childbirth class. Ironically, Tommy and Jake both went to Boston College, so we became fast friends. Julien was born six days before Taylor (Aurelie was 11 days late!), so I see lots of playdates with him in our future.

The babes all bundled up for a walk to brunch!

Oh goodness, I am loving that first picture of her...so awake and alert....but also the cuddly ones of her with that fabulous blanket! ;) So glad you're getting out and about and starting to feel human again! She is simply adorable and I can't wait to love on her in a little over a week!!

Taylor is precious beyond words! Glad to hear you are getting back into the swing. Sleep is a thing of the past, but you know that. Take care. Hope Mimi is surviving. Love you guys, mar
