My day began at 5:45 this morning. Taylor normally sleeps until 7:00 (or later), but she was up early today due to her busy Sunday. Tommy and I took her to her first Yankees game yesterday; she missed her afternoon nap and went to bed early as a result. So, I can't fault her for being a bit off schedule. I crawled out of bed at 5:45 and greeted my smiling daughter. I love how happy she is in the mornings. I nursed her, changed her diaper, gave her a bottle, and played with her until about 8:00 when she went down for her morning nap. I was thinking she'd take a long nap since she was up so early, but nope! She was up again at 9:00. I figured this would be a great time to go for a long walk and hit the grocery store, so I started getting us ready.
- I changed into some workout gear and brushed my teeth.
- Changed Taylor.
- Made breakfast for little T - rice cereal and mushed banana. She is finally starting to enjoy food!
- As I was rinsing out my glass of OJ, I dropped and broke the glass.
- Cleaned up broken glass in my kitchen sink.
- Made another bottle for Taylor.
- Gave her the bottle and burped her.
- Stood up to get ready to leave. Picked a few things up and banged my head on the fireplace.
- Put Taylor down to play with some toys while I iced my head. I have a nice knot in the middle of my forehead now.
- Put the ice away and picked Taylor up so we could leave.
- She smelled, so I went to change her poopy diaper.
- She had pooped through her clothes, so I changed her outfit.
- Finally got to the garage and put her in the stroller. She looked so cute sitting up like a big girl (we no longer put her carseat in the stroller), that I had to grab the camera.
- Took these pictures...
- As I was taking pictures, Taylor started melting down. She was rubbing her eyes and screaming.
- So, back upstairs we went. It is now 11:30, and Taylor went down for another nap at 11:00. Now I sit here, updating my blog, waiting for Taylor to wake up so we can go on that walk. But first, I'll have to change her and feed her again. Now I understand why I don't get anything done some days!
