Arizona

AT&T flew to Arizona on St. Patrick's Day for a long weekend. My parents bought my grandpa's house after he passed away last year, and my mom has been working her bootie off upgrading it. My parents will start spending a significant portion of the winter in AZ after my dad retires. Midgey has done a great job with the house - the kitchen is completely redone, the bathrooms are upgraded, the walls have fresh paint, the carpets are cleaned, and every room has new furniture. Nice work, Mimi! Tommy and I figured this was a good opportunity to check out the new pad, so we flew down for a visit. Conveniently, we picked the weekend of the NCAA tournament. Even more conveniently, several of Tommy's friends flew down the same weekend to hit some spring training games. It was a jam-packed weekend. We enjoyed seeing my parents, Aunt Bette, Uncle Rod, Cousins Julie, Laura and Ike, and friends Steve, Joel, Brendan, Jeff, and Carolyn.

Unfortunately, this was not Taylor's best trip. I've heard that it is difficult to travel with children between the ages of one and two, and now I could not agree more with that statement. Taylor did not sleep well. She was up every few hours and absolutely refused to let us put her down in a crib or pack-n-play. Against my better judgement, she slept with me almost every night. She slept significantly less than normal, and as a result, she was not her usual, happy self. We were all pretty relieved to get her home last Monday. I've always said that I would travel as much as possible with my children, but I am rethinking that after our last trip.

All in all, it was great to get away for a few days and spend some time with family. Below are a few pictures.
