Eleven-Months Old

It is almost time for our Cinco de Matty celebration. Eleven months down, one to go until my baby boy celebrates his first birthday. Momma is so sad. Matty is the sweetest, most loving little guy and I do not want this phase to end. Ever. I already think about how nostaligic I'll feel when I look back at the videos of Matty at this age. He is so stinkin' cute; I can't stand it. I tried to count how many times I kiss him each day, and it is impossible to do so because it would be in the hundreds (and I am slightly busy doing other things).
At eleven-months, Matty is crusising, walking with a walker, climbing our stairs any chance he gets, eating everything in sight, fighting back with his sister, babbling up a storm, waving at everyone, and sleeping like a champ. He consistently sleeps 12-hours a night and takes two, two-hour naps during the day. Bliss. When he is awake, he is constantly on the go. He zooms from room to room and gets into anything possible.
About a week before Matty's 11-month mark, he weighed 22 pounds. He's "graduated" from his infant car seat and he is starting to feed himself (when mom is brave enough to give him the spoon). Matty cut his left top tooth on 3/25 and his right top tooth on 4/14 (today). He has a full head of blonde hair. Combined with his blue eyes, full cheeks, dimple, little teeth, and chubby body, I cannot resist his cuteness.
Sometime in the past month, I've started leaving Taylor and Matthew in the playroom together. I can't tell you how wonderful it is to leave them upstairs (with all gates shut) and come downstairs to prep dinner or clean up the usual messes. I love hearing their giggles as they play together. It is so fun to listen to my kiddos interact; I can only imagine how fun it will be when Matty can walk and talk (back) to Taylor.

Best picture of Matty and Chancey - this was taken about .5 seconds before Matty bolted off.

The bottle kept him semi-still for another shot...

Matty has brought so much joy to our family. Tommy likes to mock me by saying "I just don't think I can love another baby as much as I love Taylor" because I said this to him daily before Matty was born. Obviously, that's not the case. I am so grateful God gave Matthew to us - we love you, buddy boy!
