Matty-Boy is 15-months old now. I don't know which is harder to believe - that my baby boy is 15-months old or that I only have three months until he's no longer the baby in the family. I carry so much guilt that I am slighting Matty by having another baby so soon. I am trying to cherish our time together until our new blessed distraction arrives.

Enjoying a snowcone - something I never would have given Taylor at this age!

Beach bum.

I love watching this guy sleep.

Chillin' with sissy's suitcase on the airplane.

I love this picture. Big sis and little bro leaving the dentish.
- Matty still has me wrapped. He has the best disposition. He's so easy going (unless he's teething). I just love watching him waddle around the room, trying to keep up with his big sister. He still takes two naps a day, although he is starting to transition to one. I have definitely taken it for granted that M is a great sleeper. Tommy and I argue sometimes about who gets to put which child to bed because Taylor can drag out bedtime for hours while Matty takes minutes. He loves his crib and usually points to it while I am trying to rock him.
- Matty STILL takes a bottle. I have tried to start weaning him to sippy cups, but the little bullhead will not drink milk from them. I suppose I'll have to play tough love soon and get rid of the bottles cold-turkey. But, I'll put that off for a few more weeks. :)
- Matty got one of his molars last month. It is HUGE. That sucker took weeks to push through. I do not remember Taylor's molars taking this long to break the skin after her gums started swelling. He has two more molars coming through now, so he has definitely been more fussy than usual.
- M's vocabulary is growing. I am proud to say that his first word was "mama," followed by "uh oh," "dada," "baby," "shoe," "boat." He tries so hard to get words out, but it is usually gibberish. I love his gibberish and will miss it when he's conversational. He is also great at shaking his head "yes" and "no," signing "more," and pointing and grunting when he has an opinion.
- He still eats a ton. You should have seen my dad's face tonight as he watched Matty shovel in four servings of baked beans while frantically signing "more" in between handfuls. He was covered in beans. We had to hose the patio down after dinner due to his mess of beans, ribs, and cornbread. After a warm bath and a bottle, it is not surprising that Matty is snoring away now.
