2,000 Days

I must give a shout out to my husband this morning. He came home from work last night (aside from the fact that it was 9:15 PM) with flowers, a card, and our favorite bottle of Pinot Noir. Apparently yesterday was our 2,000th day of marriage. It took me a while to figure out what we were celebrating.

Most days, Tommy and I are like ships passing through the night: he gets home from work and I immediately pass one cranky child to him so that I can attend to another, or we multi-task between housework, bath time, bed time, Tommy's "real" work, etc. It was a nice surprise to take a moment last night and celebrate a small milestone. Thank you, Tommy, for allowing this tired momma to remember that I am also a cool wife too. I love you.
