First Goal

Today was Taylor's last soccer game of the season. She scored her first two goals and was quite proud of herself. Tommy and I were proud of her too - she has really enjoyed playing soccer but had not scored a goal all season - so this was a nice boost to her ego. We went out for pizza with the other girls and families after the game. Taylor's coach gave all the girls certificates and trophies, and Taylor was awarded the "Most Energetic Player" award. I loved watching Taylor marvel at her trophy all afternoon: she carried it around the house, she polished it, she danced with it, and she wrapped it in a gift bag to keep it safe. She even asked to look at it one last time as I was tucking her in to bed. Oh, how I love her and her enthusiasm!
