Matty's love of baseball continues to blossom. The imaginary baseball games played in our house (first base is in the office, second base is by the front door, third base is by the refrigerator, and home plate is back in the office), the countless wiffle balls lost in the green belt in our backyard, and the hours of baseball watched on TV with daddy - Matty is becoming as obsessed with baseball as Tommy. He even knows the rules of the game and constantly corrects me when I try to appease him and play with him (e.g. "Mommy, you can't get out at third base unless someone touches you with the ball - you can't just tag the base.") How I am suppose to know these things? You should see what a lunatic I look like running through the house playing imaginary baseball!
The other day, during quiet time, Matty wanted to play Uno. I had some things to do and told him it would be a while before I could play. Well, the next thing I know, Matty is playing Uno with Alex Rodriguez. He kept talking to Alex Rodriguez (he doesn't call him Alex; he uses his full name!) and keeping score for him. I had to sneak a picture of his score card.
