Christmas 2015

Where did the month go? It is Christmas Eve, and I failed to blog once during the month of many festivities. We are settling in for a relaxing day at home today - we hosted our 5th Annual Christmas Eve-Eve party last night with 40 family and friends, so today will be a lazy day until we leave for church at 3:45.

Here's a quick recap of the days leading up to Christmas.

November 29th - We decorated the house for Christmas and got our real tree.

This is a classic picture - Brayden touched Elvis the Elf on the Shelf, and he fell off of the toy train he was riding. The kids were so upset that he might lose his magic. Taylor wrote Elvis a note, apologizing for Brayden.

December 4th - Christmas party at our friends' house (the Finholm's).

December 5th - Tommy's Microsoft Holiday Party at the Experience Music Project.

December 6th - Santa pics at the mall followed by dinner and Snowflake Lane.

December 10th - Tommy's boss hosted dinner for her team at her house.

December 12th - Tommy and I attended our friend Joel's wedding in Detroit.

December 14th - I attended a Christmas party at a friend's house (momma's only).

December 15th - Brayden's Preschool Christmas Program.
Little B did not sing at all. He just stood there, looking bored.

December 16th - Mimi and Baba arrived; Matty's Preschool Christmas Program.

December 18th-20th - Taylor performed in her dance studio's production of The Nutcracker. We were so proud of our little Ginger Snap!

Proud brother Matty giving Taylor flowers after her first performance.

December 19th, 11:45 PM - I was moving our kids' Elf on the Shelf (Elvis) and fell as I was stepping down from a chair. I broke the 5th metatarsal on my right foot and am on crutches for at least a month! The worst part of it all is that I cannot drive. Lord help me!

Here's what Christmas 2015 looks like for me.

December 22nd - Uncle Ryan arrived.

December 23rd - We hosted our Christmas Eve-Eve party with Tommy's high school friends and their families. The party is always chaos but everyone enjoys being together.
We put the kids in the garage this year - complete with babysitters to help with crafts and dinner.

okay, the kids didn't stay in the garage all night...

It's a wrap! Merry Christmas!
