My baby starts kindergarten tomorrow. I spent all evening preparing for my "Moms and Mimosas" celebration in the morning. After all, I will have all three kids in the same school, full-time, this year! Hallelujah! I've talked a big game for over a year about how I'll be partying it up when Brayden starts school. Tomorrow, I will follow through on my promise to host a party.
However, I am becoming very emotional about this milestone. I'm gonna miss my buddy. For 9.75 years, I have had a child at home with me for some portion of each day. Today, our last day together, Brayden and I ran errands. It was nothing special, unfortunately, but we did take some time to ride the escalators and elevators at the mall, and we went out for conveyor belt sushi for lunch. He had a blast. This evening, he had soccer practice, he showered and ate dinner, and then we read "Twas the Night Before Kindergarten" and "First Day Jitters" as a family. Brayden then fell asleep with his loveys. Gosh, I adore this boy. His excitement and enthusiasm for life is contagious.
I love you, Fufamaloo. You are such a bright light and I know you and your little engineering brain will succeed in school. I will miss you during the afternoons terribly.
