Little League Season

Matty's Little League season came to an end on Thursday evening. It is hard to feel sad that it is over because All-Stars starts on Monday, and it consumes a chunk of the summer. Matty's regular season Little League team had a great run ~ they placed second in the Bellevue National Tournament, and they placed fourth in the City Tournament (which they lost in on Thursday). Coach Tommy is amazing. I love sitting in the bleachers and hearing other parents talk about their respect for Tommy. Proud wife!

Most boys (including Matty) will not continue with Little League after age 12. After this year, most serious baseball kiddos will focus on select/club teams and will not have time for rec Little League. One night this past week, Matty's team was playing on a field next to two other teams from our league. After the games ended, us moms took advantage of having the boys together to get some great pictures. Chances are very good that these boys will not play together again. Some will move on from baseball and many will play for different select teams. We will cherish these pictures!

2nd place in Bellevue National Tournament

Matty with Finn O'Donoghue and Ryan Saino
These three are in Advanced Language Arts together and have had a lot of fun (sometimes too much fun, as evidenced by an email from their teacher).

These three - they have played baseball together since t-ball. We have high hopes for them in the All-Star tourney!

6th Graders - Ryan, Will, Matty, Lucas, Kyler, Finn

Newcastle boys - 5th and 6th graders

Love our parents!

We have gone out for dinner after baseball games many, many times this spring. Look at this gaggle of boys! Matty and Brayden are in there somewhere.
