Hoco 2023

 Hoco = Homecoming

Tommy and I laugh at how regularly people use the word Hoco. We had no idea was until we had a daughter in high school. Ha!

Taylor went to her high school Hoco dance with a group of new friends. She went with 11 girls in total, and interestingly, only one of them went to middle school with Taylor. Despite the fact that everyone from her elementary school and middle school now attend high school with her, she has stepped out of her comfort zone and invested in new relationships. I am really proud of her.

A few girls came to our house early to get ready, and then the rest came at 5:00 for pictures and dinner. We went up to the golf course for group pictures (despite the rain and fog), and while we were there, we met Taylor's new boyfriend, Tyson Burley. While Tay and Tyson did not go to the dance together, they wanted to meet for pictures, and they spent a lot of time together at the dance. This is totally new territory for us! A boyfriend! AHHHH!

After everything Taylor experienced in middle school, it warms my heart to see her thriving at the start of high school. She's loving the dance team, she's involved with ASB (Associated Student Body) government, and now she has caught the attention of a darling guy. We are so happy for her.
