Tommy, Taylor, and I went on our first "family" hike yesterday. The weather here is absolutely gorgeous (I love spring!), so we are trying to take advantage of it. Sometimes I forget that Seattle is surrounded by mountains, but it is so nice to have such great outdoorsy activities right outside our front door. The hike we did yesterday was four miles. The trail-head was just a couple of miles from our townhome, so I'm sure we'll do this hike again soon. Taylor did great! Of course, she didn't have to do the hiking. ;)

The hike led us to the launch point for the paragliders. We sat there for a while and watched people literally run off the side of the mountain... not something I would ever do given that I have a fear of heights (my hands are sweating just thinking about it). Regardless, it was super cool to watch the paragliders fly off into the sky with views of Mt. Rainier in the background.
