Family Vaca

We are back from Breckenridge after a fabulous week in Colorado! Traveling with a five-month old is certainly a challenge, but Taylor was a trooper. Her schedule was completely whacked while we were gone (starting with our flight to Denver, which was delayed and kept her up until 1:00 AM). Over the past nine days, she slept in three different cribs/pack 'n plays and endured the altitude (9,000+ ft) as well as an irregular nap schedule. Through all this, she still provided lots of laughs and priceless moments.

Taylor was a bit of a nightmare when we got home today. She would not go down for a nap and just cried and cried and cried. I think she had hit her limit. She had a bath, drank a bottle, and was in bed by 6:45 tonight, so hopefully she'll feel better (and forgive us for her sleep deprivation) tomorrow. This lifestyle is not sustainable with a baby. Tommy and I have a couple more trips planned in the next month, as well as a move (!) , but then we are staying put for a while.

It was wonderful to spend a week with my family. Now that I live so far away from everyone, I treasure the time I have with them. To get every member of the family away from work and other commitments for a week is quite an obstacle. In fact, this was the first time in many years that we were all in attendance on vacation together. Our week was low key. We had no real agenda while we were in Breckenridge, so it was nice and relaxing. Highlights include white water rafting, hiking, sitting in the hot tub, playing cards, enjoying the scenery, cooking dinner at the condo, and going to an old gold mine. I took 250 pictures, so it will take some time to go through all of them. Below are some of my favorites:
