Baby #2

As I mentioned in my first post about Baby Bligh, Part II, the second pregnancy is not as hyped as the first. For those of you that followed this blog when I was pregnant with Taylor, you'll remember that we called her "Gordi" before we knew she was a girl. Sadly, Baby #2 hasn't even gotten a nickname. It's simply "Baby #2." You would think we'd be more likely to give this babe a nickname given that we don't know the sex. Sadly, we haven't. My nephew (or brother) suggested we call this baby Yogi Mickey Bligh, but that hasn't stuck like Gordi did.
Regardless, the reality is settling in that a baby is on the way. I am getting bigger and bigger. In fact, as we were leaving our church's Christmas Eve service, a greeter asked me if there was any chance we'd be squeezing in a last minute tax deduction. I wanted to cry when I realized she must have thought I was 8+ months pregnant. If only she knew I have four months to go!
These pictures are a bit old. I meant to post them a few weeks ago. Regardless, here is a belly shot at 20 weeks - taken on 12/6/10. Excuse the glasses, greasy hair, and pajamas. :)

And here is our sweet baby during the 19-week ultrasound.

Scary skeleton photo!
I am 23.5 weeks now. On one hand, I feel like I've been pregnant forever. On the other hand, it scares me to think I only have 16 weeks to go. To date, I've gained 6 pounds, but I swear I look like I've gained at least double that (remember that the picture above was taken 3.5 weeks ago). I gained 30 pounds with Taylor, so the thought of gaining another 24 pounds before this baby is born is frightening. I'll post more belly shots when I hit 24 weeks on Monday.

Happy New Year!
