Happy Birthday!

Taylor is 2 today! I can't believe I have a two-year old. It has been eye-opening to realize how much I look forward to T's birthday. I guess that's a sign of parenthood - you look forward to your child's birthday more than your own. Sadly, I am working today. I typically work from 6:30-3:30 so that I home by late afternoon, so I am up and out of the house before Tommy and Taylor wake up. Today, as I tip-toed out of our bathroom to leave for work, Tommy rolled over in bed and whispered "Happy Birthday to our little girl." This goes to show how much he adores her and how much we look forward to her special day. I snuck into Taylor's room and watched her sleeping (surrounded by her animals) for a few minutes before I left. I just love that little thing.

Fortunately, Taylor is spending the day with her grandparents (Granma and Pop Pop) today. Mimi arrives tomorrow, so we will celebrate her birthday with cake, presents, and a trip the aquarium on Saturday. I'll post pictures of our two-year old after the weekend!
