Matty got his first haircut on Halloween. My sweet little boy is turning into quite the terror - it is difficult to do just about anything with him these days, so it was not a surprise that he did not want to sit in the chair. Fortunately, the kids salon is familiar with fiesty little people, so we were able to entertain him... eventually... with a caddy of cars.
I knew I would be emotional as I watched his cute little curls fall to the floor. The first haircut seemed more profound for Matty than Taylor. I suppose this is because Taylor's first haircut was just a trim, whereas Matty's required a lot of cutting and shaving. I loved Matty's long curls, but the mullet was getting out of control. He looks so grown up to me now. He's ready for his promotion to big brother!

| Post-haircut celebration with a lollipop (Matty's first)! Since this haircut, the lollipops are a necessity for doctor appointments and other activities that require him to chill out! |
