New "Do"

Brayden is two weeks old today. I've been trying my hand at being a momma of three now that Tommy is back to work. Yesterday, I was enjoying some "me" time (e.g. Christmas shopping online) while Brayden was sleeping and Taylor and Matty were playing independently upstairs. After too many quiet minutes had passed, I went upstairs to see what my munchkins were up to. Matty had taken the roll of toilet paper from the bathroom and decorated the hallway and a couple of bedrooms, and Taylor had used kiddie scissors to CUT HER HAIR. Ahhh! I was horrified when I walked in her room and saw what she had done, but at the same time I laughed out loud. Oh, T, those bangs are so short! I have worked so hard to grow her hair out one-length. Time to get creative with her new do.

After cleaning up my teepeed hallway and locks of hair from Taylor's bedspread, I changed another of Brayden's blowouts and sat down to nurse. As B was eating, I looked down and saw that one side of his head was covered in poop. Disgusting.

I am happy to report today that all of my children are bathed and safe, but I am definitely not winning any Mother of the Year awards.
