About six weeks ago, I posted that Matty's vocabulary had blown up. Since then, Matty has learned every little of the alphabet (both upper and lower case - amazing!), and he repeats everything we say. We have been in Arizona for the past two weeks visiting my parents, and Matty has been in hog heaven with the extra attention to his growing vocabulary. As we watched a neighbor cut down a cactus last week, a huge piece fell on my parents' fence. My mom said, "Mike's going to crap when he sees that," to which Matty responded "Mike crap."
Here are a few of Matty's favorite phrases now.
"Tanks, Mommy"
"Elcome, Mommy"
"Wuv you too"
"Bess you, sissy"
"Minutes, Mommy" (apparently I say "just a minute" too often because this is what he says upon asking him to do something)
"Pay cars... me" (play cars with me)
"Aw done. Go Mimi's car!" (Matty said this after eating lunch at his first baseball game last week, much to daddy's dismay)
It is so cute to hear Matty as he tries to string words together. As I write this, I am listening to Matty say "Me up!" to Baba so that he can sit on his lap. We fly back to Seattle today, and we will all miss my parents (and the sunshine) immensely.
