Summer

Oh, Summer. Sweet Summer. In many ways, I love summer - no schedules, no school, no structure. In other ways, summer gives me anxiety - what am I going to do with three kids at home all day, every day?

Well, I am two weeks in, and so far, so good. The kids are having fun, and I love watching them play together. Now that my youngest is 3.5, dare I say that this parenting thing is getting a little bit easier? Thus far, we have spent nearly every day at the pool. The kids all have growing suntans (much to my dismay because I lather them in sunscreen), freckles, hair full of chlorine, and dry skin. They have stayed up way too late and don't seem to sleep in to make up for the lost sleep. We have grilled dinner most nights, played in the yard, picked berries, gone to the library, rode bikes, etc. We leave tomorrow for the long weekend and Grandma and Pop Pop's beach house, and the kids are counting the hours. So yes, I am enjoying this phase. Here are some pictures to document our summer thus far:

Daddy and his boys playing ball.

We went to see Finding Dory with Olivia and Jack Burdick.

Taylor and her fancy moves going off of the diving board!

Little B in his Spidey tube.

Taylor B. and Taylor C. picking strawberries.

My little helper.

Brayden, not surprisingly, loved running through the fields.
We picked raspberries too!

Summer is exhausting.
