Mighty Machines

Since April or May, Brayden has been obsessed with the show "Mighty Machines." Someone (not me) found it on Netflix and introduced Brayden to it, and he has watched every episode in all three seasons multiple times now. He dropped his other favorite shows, Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig, immediately and refuses to watch anything other than Mighty Machines now. I wish you could see/hear his excitement about this show. "Mom! Conveyor Belt!" "Mommy, LOOOOOK, there's a twayne twack!" The shows are extremely dated, probably made 30 years ago, and I cannot sit through an episode without getting distracted. But Brayden is totally engrossed. He has learned about building airplanes, printing newspapers, laying pipelines, recycling, the workings of a sawmill, pouring concrete, etc. I have to remind myself that this is better than SpongeBob Squarepants or Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtles. After all, I may have an engineer on my hands.
