Taylor's 5th Dance Recital was Sunday, June 25th at Newport High School. She danced to "I'll Be There" by the Jackson Five. I may be biased, but she is one of the best dancers in her class (and she is also the smallest and youngest). Taylor wanted to audition for the studio's "Company" for next year, but I encouraged her to wait one more year before making that decision. It is a big time commitment and she would have to quit doing other activities such as soccer and softball. I agreed to let her take two dance classes this fall, and of course she'll audition for the Nutcracker again. Taylor was excited when we received an email from the director of her studio indicating that she has been promoted from ballet level 1B to 2A after being promoted from 1A to 1B in January. Needless to say, I have a little dancer on my hands... and I love it!
