Last night, the Orioles won the Thunderbird Rookie League Championship! It is hard to believe that these little guys, who could barely make contact with a baseball in the spring, went undefeated in the playoffs. The Little League Commissioner was at the game and presented the team with trophies upon their win. This is the first trophy any of my children have actually earned (every other trophy in their rooms was purchased by parents/coaches as a participation trophy). Matty was on cloud 9, and Tommy was pretty pumped too! What a great start to summer!
