A New School Year

We are six weeks into the school year and the kids are in full swing. From what I can tell, they are all enjoying their classes/teachers/friends/activities. I pulled them out of school last Friday in order to get flu shots. My plan was to take them for the shot first and then reward them with lunch out somewhere; however, each one of them could not wait to get back to school! I suppose that is a good thing.

My heart still melts when I watch my baby walk to the bus with his big backpack on. Below is an overdue picture of Brayden on the first day of kindergarten followed by a picture of the three of them walking to the bus.

There goes my HEART!

A few classic quotes from Brayden since he started school:
“Mommy, everything has changed since I started kindergarten.” This was said in exasperation when I told him that no, there would not be time to play Minecraft that day.
“Mommy, aren’t you getting so much work done now that I am in kindergarten?”
"Mommy, don't you miss me while I am at school all day?"

More to come as I catch up on this blog.
