Our beloved dog is one-year old today! Annie Joy is a good little girl and we love her to pieces. She has eaten our couch (trying to get balls that have rolled underneath it) but she is fiercely loyal. We celebrated today with gifts: Brayden gave Annie a frisbee, Matty gave Annie a birthday cookie, and Taylor gave Annie a purple fleece. The kids did not have school today due to a teacher in-service day, so they were home all day to love on her. Later in the afternoon, we grabbed some of the neighbor dogs (Julia's dog Ellie and Olivia's dog Archie) and went to the park. While I am sad that our puppy is no longer a puppy, I am excited for some of her puppy energy to go away.
Tommy and I had many reservations about getting a dog. It is a huge responsibility, but I think we both agree that she has been a fantastic additional to our family. It took some time for Annie to warm up to Tommy, but it is safe to say that he loves her now. How could you not love this face?
