The kids started school on 8/28 after what felt like a very short summer. My Matty-boy is a Freshman! I never want to gloss over all the anxiety and anticipation of starting a new school, but of my three children, Matty is the one I worry about the least. He's a great kid, and I just know he will find his way. He started high school with a ride to school with his big sister - not a bad way to kick off the year. He's going to do great.
Brayden is in 7th grade now, and he hit the jackpot with his teachers. Of his six teachers, four of them have had a Bligh in class before. Two of the teachers had Matty in class just last year since Brayden is on an accelerated math and science path. He is taking Algebra and Physical Science - and Algebra will give him high school credit (and count towards his high school GPA) as a 7th grader.
My Tay is now a junior in high school. Man, is that hard to believe! I remember my junior year of high school so vividly. She reminds me so much of myself - lots of friends, very involved, great student, high achieving. I pray she wraps her high school years on this note.
The years are slipping through my fingers. Damn, it goes fast!
