We Are Family

Taylor's recent obsession: her cousins. I called my nephew, Casey, last weekend to wish him a Happy 10th Birthday. Taylor would not talk to him, but she ran into our office and grabbed a picture of Alexa and Casey (she's holding it above). I am not joking when I say she's not put the picture down since. What's funny about the picture is that it was taken in May 2004; Alexa was about to turn 5 and Casey had just turned 3! Clearly, Taylor never knew her cousins at that age, but she certainly loves to look at the picture of them.

The picture has now been moved to a plastic frame, and Taylor is currently snuggled up with it in her crib. It is adorable (and sad at the same time because I wish Tay saw more of her cousins).
Two nights ago, Tommy and I were watching TV when we heard Taylor through her video monitor. We looked at the monitor and saw T laying in her crib, holding the picture of Alexa & Casey, and singing "We Are Family." I am not joking! Taylor has heard this song a few times on one of her toddler CDs, but it was absolutely hysterical to hear her singing it while looking at her cousins. Her ability to put two and two together amazes me. I tried to take a video of her through the monitor, but of course she stopped singing as soon as I got the camcorder out.
What a funny little girl...
