Last weekend, I got together with my girlfriends from Butler. We live all over the country, so we enjoy getting together in different cities when we can. This time, we met in Pittsburgh, where my friend Amy Ripley lives with her husband and two daughters (and baby #3 on the way!). It is always wonderful to see "the girls!"
Saturday afternoon, the girls had a baby shower for me. The showers we throw for each other are perfect - no games, no fancy food, no pomp and circumstance - just some junk food, cake, and wine (for them, not me!). It was a beautiful day, so we sat outside on Amy's porch while I opened gifts. Of the 11 of us from college that are still close, I will become the 7th mommy in the group and my little girl will be the 13th child! Needless to say, I interrogated all of the other moms over the weekend and enjoyed their useful gifts! They gave Baby Bligh some wonderful things, and they also pooled their money and bought me a Petunia Pickelbottom diaper bag! Thanks again, friends! Below are a few pictures from the weekend.
